Step 2 — Track your eating habits and your symptoms with a Food Journal
Step 2 is all about learning to track what you eat and how it makes you feel. Keeping a Food Journal seems like a pain at first, but before long, you will find that you are starting to notice how you feel at various times of the day and you will start to make links to what you have been eating. You will become more aware of what you are eating. When I started keeping a Journal, I remember thinking ― "Wow! Do I really eat all that sugar every day?!" You can download a free copy of the Food Journal here.
Step 3 — Interpret your Food Journal
Step 3 will guide you through interpreting what you have written in your Food Journal. A series of questions will help you read your Food Journal for the important clues to improving what and when you eat.
Step 4 — Change When and What you eat
Using your Food Journal you will calculate your optimum eating cycle. That is, you will be able to figure out how often you need to eat, at least for now, by analyzing when your symptoms appear. You will also learn the 3 most important rules for What to eat.
Step 5 — Reduce your sugar intake
Step 5 involves reducing that staple of our lives―sugar! This Step will give you hints and tips about how to reduce your sugar intake as painlessly as possible along with suggestions for what to do when those cravings hit.
